Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from an intake session?

1

We offer Telehealth sessions for clients ages 13+ and can typically accommodate virtual sessions for younger clients as requested for accessibility purposes.

Do you accept insurance?

We are still in the process of paneling with insurance, as we are a new practice and the paneling process can take up to several months. We will add any new accepted insurance plans to our services page as soon as we are approved. In the meantime, we are happy to provide a superbill, which is a detailed summary of your reimbursement claim that you may submit to your insurance provider for partial reimbursement. Not all plans include out-of-network mental health benefits, so we strongly encourage you to call your insurance provider and verify the details of your benefits in advance.

Do you offer Telehealth sessions?

3

The intake session is an opportunity for your therapist to get to know a bit about who you are, your strengths, your history, and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. Your therapist will tailor the content of the session to align with your (or your child’s) specific needs and will accommodate your preferences for sharing information (i.e. verbally vs. in writing). At the end of the session, you will sign paperwork consenting to ongoing services and schedule a regular session time.

What is your cancellation policy?

4

We require clients to cancel with at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged for the service in full. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, as we understand that unexpected life circumstances sometimes arise.

What makes your office a sensory-friendly space?

5

We explicitly offer multiple options for room lighting (soft, bright, or a color of choice), a variety of fidget toys for children, teens, and adults alike, weighted blankets, the option to use a speaker, complementary tea, coffee, and snacks, and multiple options for seating, including armchairs, couches, beanbag chairs, and wobble stools.

Can you prescribe medication?

6

We are not medical providers and cannot prescribe medication, but we are happy to refer you to a psychiatry provider or work with your current provider to support with your medication needs.

Is there parking available?

Yes! Our office has a large parking lot, and you are welcome to park in any space that is not already reserved (as indicated by signage). We are located less than a 5 minute walk from the Lynnwood light rail station if you are planning to use public transportation.
